Text reads:

Body Language: How to Identify a High-Class Woman -- Anywhere.

Centuries ago in Egypt the quality of a woman's make-up showed her status.

In the Ndebele culture women wear neck rings to indicate her husband's wealth.

During the nineteenth century women's fashion in Europe called for women to wear tight-fitting corsets because the ideal woman was fragile and weak.

In many countries of Africa and the Middle East, female genital mutilation is considered a necessary rite of passage for young girls.

It was an ancient Chinese custom to bind women's feet. It was seen as a symbol of class and chastity.

Over the next three pages I will question and explore class, gender and political issues through social connotations of the human body.
